An experience for those who want to hike through the dunes and lagoons of the Lençóis Maranhenses and spend a night camping amid the landscape of the National Park.

16 km of hiking | 1 night of camping

This tour was designed for those who want a more immersive experience in the Lençóis Maranhenses, but without spending several days on a trek.

It's two days of hiking through the dunes and lagoons, with one night of camping in the Oásis Baixa Grande area.

The route combines moments of hiking, swimming in the lagoons, and taking in the sunrise and sunset, along with the experience of sleeping in the middle of the National Park.

The camping setup is handled by the team, while a support guide accompanies the group to carry the larger gear, such as tents, chairs, and cooking equipment.

Camping

The group will be picked up at their inns starting at 04:30 in Barreirinhas. For participants staying in Atins, pickup starts at 06:30.

In 4x4 vehicles, we drive for approximately 2 hours toward the National Park, along an off-road route to the area near Rio Negro.

Along the way, we make a stop for a breakfast snack and to watch the sunrise.

From there, the hike begins, about 6 km, averaging 2 to 3 hours, to Oásis Baixa Grande, with stops for swimming in the lagoons.

Arrival at the oasis is expected around 10:30, followed by lunch at 11:00.

After resting, we resume the hike for another 6 km to the camping area.

Upon arrival, the team sets up the campsite structure and prepares the trail dinner.

Overnight: camping area in the Lençóis Maranhenses.

Breakfast, prepared by the guide, will be served at 07:00. At 07:30, we begin the return hike toward the Bandeira area.

Along the way, we enjoy the early hours of the day, with the chance to swim in the lagoons and take in the scenery.

It's about 4 km of hiking, with arrival expected around 11:00.

From Bandeira, we continue by 4x4 to Canto do Atins, where lunch will be served.

After a short rest, we board the 4x4 again for the return to Barreirinhas.

The tour ends with participants being dropped off at their inns.
