About the tour
The tour starts at 8:30 AM, with boarding by speedboat on the Barreirinhas riverfront. We head along the Rio Preguiças, passing by different landscapes and communities of the region.
The first stop is at Vassouras, in the Pequenos Lençóis Maranhenses area, where you can walk along the dunes, spot local wildlife, and see the region's famous monkeys. The spot also has a support point for buying drinks and food.
Next, we continue to the village of Mandacaru, a small fishing community. There, you can visit the Mandacaru Lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic view of the Lençóis Maranhenses, the Rio Preguiças, and the Atlantic Ocean.
The last stop is at Caburé Beach, where there's time for lunch, and a swim in the river or the ocean. Lunch is not included in the tour.
After the stop in Caburé, the return trip starts around 2:30 PM. For those choosing to disembark in Barreirinhas, arrival is expected around 3:30 PM. The drop off option at Porto de Atins happens between 1 PM and 2 PM.
